

Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is mandatory for obtaining employment as a pilot. The CPL permits the pilot to accept remuneration or other rewards, for flying aircraft for hire. It is also a valuable license for private pilots who wish to enhance their flying skills and abilities. Commercial Pilot students may include Night, Aerobatics, Mountain, Instrument, or Multi-Engine as part of their commercial training. These courses are available at Southern Skies Aviation Ltd.
Applicant must satisfy all training criteria as outlined in the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
The following cost breakdown is based on Transport Canada minimum requirements and includes applicable taxes. Student proficiency will vary. Hours in excess of those listed here must be paid for by the student at the rates listed. The student needs to be aware of the requirement for 200 flight hours to be acquired through flight training for Private License/Commercial License. All flight hours are at the expense of the student.

Prospective Commercial Pilot applicants should consider the Southern Skies Aviation Ltd. 10 month Integrated Commercial Pilot Course to achieve their aviation goals. This 10 month intensive course includes the Private Pilot License, Night Rating, VFR-OTT, Basic Aerobatics, Emergency Maneuver Training, Mountain Performance Courses, Instrument Training, Multi-Engine Rating and an intensive ground school No prior aviation experience required - credit may be offered for Private Pilot License.
